Gerald Roy, age 65, passed away on April 10, 2026. Known for his work ethic, Gerald did not shy away from a challenge and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and expertise as a master plumber with customers and coworkers at both the Lake County Water Department and Ace Hardware in Chesterland.


Born on February 6, 1961, Gerald was the son of the late Gerald Roy and Evelena Roy (Davis). He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law Frank Tezak and brother-in-law Robert Tezak.


He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sandra Roy (Tezak); mother-in-law, Lillian Tezak; his three older siblings: Linda (Thomas) Fleck, Diana (Kenneth) Rodd, and Arthur Roy (Janice); and his children: Jeremy (Deanna) Roy and Jessica Roy (Dave Doing). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Carmen, Daniel, Victoria, Christopher, and Rachel, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.


A graveside service to honor Gerald will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Kirtland Cemetery, 10444 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland, OH 44094 at 4:00pm.
