Gertrude "Trudy" Bailey (Bunch), 78, lost her battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville, Ohio, while holding her beloved granddaughter Ashley's hand. She was born May 20, 1945. The daughter of the late James and Ida (Truchan) Bailey. Ms. Bailey graduated from Leavittsburg High School, then worked for General Motors until she retired in the mid-90's. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed baking and gardening, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She leaves behind her three children: Deborah (Ron) Kahler of Johnson City, TN, Robert (Lori) Bunch of Roaming Shores, and Kerry (Jennie) Bunch of Warren; grandchildren: Ashley (Jake Rathburn) Piontkowski, Crystal (Andrew Funderburgh) Piontkowski, Emily and Sarah Piontkowski, all of Johnston, Ohio, Cameron Bunch of Roaming Shores; and one great-grandchild: Colt Thomas Funderburgh. She also leaves behind her two brothers: Howard (Linda) Bailey of Sevierville, TN, and John Bailey of Norman, OK; two sisters: Lois (Late husband Bill) (Bailey) Maddox of Warren, and Ida (late husband Chet) (Bailey) Inman of Warren; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. Trudy was preceded in death by two brothers: James and Paul Bailey; and two half-brothers: Charles and Robert Bailey. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing Hospice of the Western Reserve team who cared for her in her final years.
