Gina Nemec, 87, of Euclid, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Gina was born in Koper, Slovenia on February 28, 1938, to Mario and Laura Abbondanza. She later married John Nemec in Trieste, Italy and shared many years of love and memories before his passing.
She was a hardworking woman and retired from Cleveland Twist Drill. She also spent decades at Sterle's Slovenian Country House on weekends. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed baking "Kolachky" for holidays and events and loved sharing good food and wine with family and friends and taking trips to beaches and casinos.
Gina is survived by her children, Patty Smith (Jim Bergant) and Darwin Nemec; grandchildren, Caitlin (Danny) Peterson and Alex (Ashley) Smith; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Carter and Xander.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nemec; parents, Mario and Laura Abbondanza.
A private Graveside Service at Alls Souls Cemetery and Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
