Gordon Stanley Brail, age 74, of Austinburg, OH, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Hillcrest Hospital. Gordon was born on June 28, 1950, in Ashtabula, OH, to parents Grace (Bissell) and Stanley Brail. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1968 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Montana, Missoula. On Sept. 9th, 1972, he married his love, Nancy (Airaksinen) Brail in Austinburg, OH and they began their life together in Missoula, MT where their son Jacob was born before moving back to Austinburg in the
Spring of 1977. Gordon worked for many years as a golf course Superintendent at U of M Golf Course, Hemlock Springs Golf Course, and Erie Shores Golf Course. In his free time, he loved antiquing with his wife Nancy, fishing with his sons, hunting with his cousins and friends, working in the yard, reading, and playing with his favorite Labrador Retriever, Stella. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Brail, and his cherished son Michael (Joy) Brail. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Pat) Brail. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son Jacob Brail. No services will be held at this time.
