Harold "Hap" Chapman, 64, of Conneaut, Ohio passed away at his home Friday, December 27, 2024, from natural causes.
He was born in Geneva, Ohio, on August 3, 1960, to parents Richard and Elizabeth Chapman. Hap graduated from Geneva High School and Youngstown State University and was married to his former wife, Tracy Chapman, from 1991-2014.
For a majority of his life, he worked in roofing. In his more recent years, he worked in security at the Cleveland Clinic and also worked for the Conneaut Public Works Department in the Summer. In his free time, he loved being outside, frequently visiting Lake Erie, gardening, woodworking, camping, playing guitar, and listening to music.
Hap is survived by his girlfriend of 9 years, Debbie Distelrath; children, Taylor Chapman and Nikki Chapman; sisters, Terri Madsen and Bev Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Chapman; ex-spouse, Tracy Chapman; sister, Linda Chapman.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date by the family.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
