Henry Lee Marcum "HL" "Hank" age 86, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Hospice House from heart failure just two hours before his beloved wife of 65 years, Etta Jane (Honeycutt) Marcum passed away.
He was born August 7, 1934 in Radnor, West Virginia, the son of the late Lige Marcum and Ruby Moore. On November 5, 1955 he married Etta Jane Honeycutt in Angola, Indiana and together they shared over 65 years of love and memories.
Hank worked at Addressograph Multigraph and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, playing banjo and guitar, gardening, arm wrestling, eating apples, and enjoying anything to do with Nature.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Marcum and Jeffrey Marcum; grandchildren, Doug Marcum, Rachel (Doug) Purrachio, and Riley Marcum; great-grandchild, Vander James Purrachio; sister, Herma Jean Barker.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 65 years, Etta Jane Marcum; and his parents, Lige Marcum and Ruby Moore.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 16, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio. Hank will be laid to rest with his wife, Jane, in a private graveside service at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services assisted the family with arrangements.
