Idabelle L. (nee Glaus) Kelley, 95, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at The Sanctuary of Geneva.
She was born September 22, 1928, at the family home in Ashtabula, Ohio to Weller H. and Larieta (Williams) Glaus and graduated from Austinburg High School class of 1946.
On June 30, 1956, Idabelle married Russel Kelley at the Ashtabula First United Methodist Church and together they have shared almost 68 years of love and marriage.
Idabelle loved being a mother and put her whole heart and soul into taking care of her family. She also had love of playing golf and had a hole-in-one on 12-12-2006 in Rock Hill, SC. She was an active member of the Geneva First United Methodist Church and over the years knitted almost 100 Prayer Shawls to give away. After her husband retired, they traveled extensively as far West as Beijing, China and as far east as Moscow, Russia and everywhere in between.
She is survived by her husband, Russel Kelley; daughters, Kathleen Pierce and Lorre (Todd) Vlietstra; grandchildren, Tony Valardo, Kristina (Derek) Terrasi, Kelley (Tim) Heckman, Vicki Fister, and Allison (Kyle) Dillenburg; 9 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Weller H. and Larieta (Williams) Glaus; brother, Warren Glaus; and son-in-law, A.J. Pierce.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Madison Memorial (Arcola) Cemetery, 3055 Arcola Road, Madison, Ohio.
