Obituary

Irene Bradley, affectionately known to everyone as "Ma," passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on October 26, 1946, in Salzburg, Austria, Irene immigrated to the United States on the USS Hershey at the young age of two. She settled in with her beloved parents, Joseph and Helen Sabacinski, who preceded her in death. They began their American life in Dover, Delaware, before later moving to Cleveland, Ohio, where she grew up.

Irene was married to Aldo Paliska, and together they shared a life focused on family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Dina and Dino. After her marriage to Aldo, she moved on to her next chapter in life and spent many wonderful years living in Tennessee before eventually moving to Florida, where she truly cherished spending time with her son. She had many fun times during these years and shared good times with Clarence Clemmons, Ron Palillo ("Horshack"), George Wendt ("Cheers"), and musicians Alfonso Carey and Willie Wilson (Lena). She was often enjoying Elvis shows with Dave Morin, concerts with Gypsy Lane, and riverboat cruises. Wherever she went, her warmth drew people in; during her time in Florida, she met and maintained relationships with some truly amazing friends who became an important part of her life. In her later years, she returned to Ohio, where she spent cherished time with her daughter, Dina.

Known for her free spirit and nurturing heart, she earned the title of "Ma" from all who knew her. She lived a life filled with warmth and connection, genuinely enjoying talking with people from all walks of life. An open door, a listening ear, a helping hand, and a shared recipe were hallmarks of her generous nature. She was a friend to all, offering a word of comfort or a joke that brought a smile to your heart. She loved the quiet comfort of reading, the thrill of visiting casinos, and expression through her painting. She held a special passion for collecting elephants and deeply loved all of her animals throughout her life, especially her parrot Ricki, her dogs Rosie, Macho, and Pebbles, and her cats Gepetto, Ozzie, and Munchkin. Above all, she treasured sharing unforgettable adventures with her children.

She is survived by her daughter Dina Paliska (Ralph Jones), her son Dino Paliska (Gloria Fernanda Mejia Ramirez Paliska), her sister Elizabeth Neuschwanger and family, and her brother Richard Sabcinski and family.

A private burial at sea is planned for a future date.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 29801 Lakeland Blvd., Wickliffe, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
