James Daly Roth

James Daly Roth, 65, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Born on July 21, 1961, in Geneva, Ohio, James was the son of John and Ida Roth. He was known for his love of family, his generous spirit, and the friendships he built throughout his life.

James is survived by his loving companion, Effie Maxwell; his children, Jimmy, Mark, Shawn, Johnny, Jamie, and Dougie; his cherished grandchildren, Carson, Onesty, Austin, Angela, Guy, Destiny, Alisa, Victoria, Ryan, Johnathan, and Daniel; and his siblings, Joe, Charlie, and Kim. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Roth; and brother, Carl Roth.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Eastwood St, Geneva, OH 44041.

James will be remembered for the love he shared with those closest to him and the lasting memories he created with his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
