Janet E. Suchala, 91, of Ashtabula passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 15, 2021 surrounded by family at Saybrook Landing.
She was born May 12, 1930 in Ashtabula the daughter of the late Daniel and Carmella (Galliazzo) DeAngelo. Janet graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1948 and worked for Molded Fiberglas, where she retired.
Janet was a hardworking woman and in her spare time enjoyed playing Bingo; but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Teresa Irby of Ashtabula, Jean (Doug) Thorne of Ashtabula, Dan (Karen) Suchala of Ashtabula, and Joan (Ken) Laveck of North Kingsville; grandchildren: Christopher Suchala of Jupiter, FL, Megan Porter of Ashtabula, OH and Brandon Suchala of Painesville, OH; great-grandchildren: Cassidy and Cody Porter.
Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Joe DeAngelo.
At her request, there will be no service.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff at Saybrook Landing and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their loving care and support during Janet's final journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contribution be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
