Janice Gail Young, 78, of Madison, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at her home in Madison after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on February 8, 1947, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to parents Harvey and Alice Wirick and was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School class of 1965. Janice married the love of her life, Herbert Young on March 23, 1968, in her hometown of Johnstown, PA. She was a longtime bartender at Jim-n-Jimmies Bar. Janice enjoyed going shopping, and spending time with her grandkids and was a Lutheran in faith.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Young; children, Herbert Young and Debra (Brian) Keyser; grandchildren, Brian Keyser, Alex Keyser and Violet Young; and siblings, Barry (Patti) Wirick and Brenda (Gary) Saintz. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Alice Wirick; and brother, Harvey Wirick.
Per her wishes, no public services will be held. Flowers may be sent in her name to Herbert Young, 6413 Bugby Dr, Madison, OH 44057. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
