Jay Patrick Leonard, age 60, of Geneva, passed away on March 4th, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Jay was born on February 1, 1964, in Painesville, OH., to parents John and Grace Leonard. Jay graduated from Lakota High School in 1983. Jay worked with Classic Auto Group, Madison Fire & Rescue, and he retired from the Lake County Sheriff's Office as a Corrections Officer. On August 25, 1984, Jay married his love, Charlotte (Wilson) Leonard in Geneva, OH. He loved to spend his free time with his family and friends, he also loved hunting and anything outdoors, he was an avid Ohio sports fan, and loved learning and talking about U.S. Military history. Jay is survived by his wife Charlotte; his children, Corey (Katie) Leonard, Jesse (Courtney) Leonard, and Tyler (Deanna Kramer) Leonard. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Mollie, Alexis, Jocelyn, C.J., Emma, and Easton Leonard; his siblings, John Leonard, Mark (Beth) Leonard; in-laws, Randal & Connie Wilson, Mark Wilson, and Karen (Rich) Dean,; and many loving nieces and nephews. Jay is preceded in death by his parents, John & Grace Leonard Jr., his grandparents, John & Flossie Leonard Sr., and Abe & Effie Alexander.
