Jeannette O. Mace, age 66, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away on July 31st, 2025, at Hospice House in Cleveland, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 11th, 1959, to parents Gerald and Barbara Smith in Cleveland, Ohio. On December 23rd, 1978, Jeannette married her love, Joe Mace and together they spent 46 beautiful years raising and enjoying their family. She worked at a few places within her community, most notably Giant Eagle, Applewood Restaurant, and Kwik Fill. Jeannette also gave so much of her time and energy to the Fraternal order of Eagles (F.O.E.) 2243, proudly spending 34 years as a member. She was the past Madam President of the Ladies Auxiliary and the recent Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also the Northeast Ohio State Kidney Chairman on the Installing and Memorial Teams, and an Ohio State Auxiliary Leader F.O.E. District 21, from 2017-2018. Above all, Jeannette loved her family and spending time with them the most, especially giving love to her grandbabies. She was extremely proud of each of the grandkids, how far they had all come and all of their accomplishments. She enjoyed dancing so much; she would light up a room with her smile and freeing presence on any dance floor. Two of her passions were country music and camping and she shared those with her husband Joe. Together they attended many concerts. She also loved watching and feeding the birds and she loved to travel and see new things. Jeannette is survived by her husband Joe Mace, her mother Barbara (DiMuzio) Smith, her children, Stacie (Tony) Vencill, Dennis (Sarah) Mace, Anthony (Elizabeth) Mace, and her cherished grandchildren, Anthony (Brandi) Vencill, Austyn Vencill, Alexis (Tom) Johnson, Joseph (Ally) Johnson, Sarah Mace, Tony Mace, Sophia Mace, Leah Mace, Camille Mace, and also by her 7, dear great-grandbabies. Jeannette is also survived by her siblings, Geraldine (Steve) Anderson of Mentor, Patrick (Tina) Smith of Vancouver Washington, and Anthony M. (Julie) Smith of Mentor. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Smith, by her grandparents, Leo & Irene Smith and Chester & Olga DiMuzio, and by her sister, Carol (Smith) Johnson. A Visitation will take place on Monday, August 4th, 2025, from 4pm-7pm at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd., Geneva, OH., 44041. A Graveside Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 11:00am at Harpersfield Cemetery, 5480 OH-State Route 307, Geneva, OH. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow burial on Tuesday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2243, 120 Depot Street, Geneva, Ohio, 44041.
