Jeffrey Lee Janson Jr.

Jeffrey Lee Janson, Jr. (AKA Snook), age 50, of Geneva, Ohio passed away at his home on Monday, August 31, 2026, from Stage 4 lung cancer.

He was born on February 17, 1976, in Warren, Ohio to the late Jeffrey Lee Janson, Sr. and Betty Ann (Bourdeau) Janson and attended Jefferson High School. He met Danielle McCallister on August 31, 2013 and they got married on October 14, 2017, in Washington Courthouse, Ohio and shared 14 happy years together until his passing.

Jeff worked in farming, roofing, and construction. He was a volunteer for the camp for the TV Series The Walking Dead where he fed the actors, volunteers, and staff. He loved to smoke his famous brisket and ribs for the actors and staff at the camp and other parties and events. He was loved by so many people and loved so many people. He was always doing something for others. He deeply loved his wife, kids and dogs, Duke and Delilah. Jeff was a hard worker and was very sociable and outgoing, talking to people everywhere he went. He also loved the outdoors and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He had a knack for always making things fun and he could always make you laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle Janson; children, Austin Janson, Ashlynn Janson, Amber Fulop, and Lilly Nasca; stepchildren, Kyle McCallister, Angel Butcher, Georgia Butcher, and Caroline Butcher; siblings, Wendy Rossetti, Jennifer Janson-Housel, Jason Janson, Joe Janson, and Justin Janson; many nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey Lee Janson, Sr. and Betty Ann (Bourdeau) Janson; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Jeannie Bourdeau; paternal grandpa, Ralph Janson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 26, 2026 from 1pm-4pm at Morgan Hose Fire Department, 3033 East Water Street, Rock Creek, Ohio.
