Obituary

Jerry L. Whitenack, age 66, of Ashtabula County, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 21st, 2022, in Chardon, OH. Born November 10, 1955, to parents Hortence Covey and Grover Whitenack in Fairdale, W.V. Jerry worked for Grand River Rubber for over 20 years before retiring. He was also part of the United Steelworkers Union, local 1020L. In his free time, Jerry really enjoyed going fishing and he also enjoyed shopping, he had great style and always was a sharp dresser. Jerry was a member of the East Ashtabula Club (EAC). Jerry is survived by his siblings; Sarah Herman, James (Diane) Whitenack, Sharon (Bruce) Smallwood, brother-in-law; Ivan Parks, and sister-in-law; Marcie Whitenack. Jerry is also survived by his his stepson; Brannon (Shelley) Brown, and his step-grandson. Jerry has many special nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews that survive him. He is preceded in death by his siblings; David Boyd (Alice) Whitenack, Grover Boyd Whitenack Jr., Wilma Parks, Patricia (Larry) Bartrow, Frances (Ray) Williams, Mary (Lonny) Miller, and bother-in-law, Norm Herman. Jerry is also preceded in death by his past wife; Beverly Au. In honoring Jerry's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Jerry's immediate family will gather at a future date for a final goodbye. The Whitenack family would like to give a special thank you to Bella Care Hospice for the month of compassion and care they provided to Jerry and would like to say thank you to a very special Nurses Aide, Trina.
