Obituary

Jerry Lee Williams of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at his sister's home.
He was born April 16, 1954, in Geauga County, Ohio, to Paul and Sally (Bair) Williams-Lenox.
He attended ACJVS and Jefferson High School, graduating in 1972. He worked at R&S Trucking. He was a truck driver/mechanic for over 50 years; 19 of those years was as owner/operator of a semi.
During his school years, he was a member of 4-H and FFA. He loved watching truck and tractor pulls. In his younger years, he and his best friend Bill Hurst built a modified tractor and pulled at the Ashtabula County Fair. Whenever Jerry had difficulty working on anything, his favorite saying was, "It's not going to beat me!" He wouldn't give up and even this time he didn't want to give up.
Jerry is survived by his children, Billie Williams of Jefferson and Robert Williams (Denise) of Mentor, Ohio; grandson Kenneth Williams of Ashtabula, Ohio; nieces Tina (Jimbo) Becker and Alyse Kelner of Jefferson; great-nieces Abby and Raelynn; great-nephews Brennen and Bentley; great-great-nephew Landon; and sisters Marie Williams of Lisbon, Ohio, and Karen (Jerry) Kelner of Jefferson, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sally Williams; son, Christopher Williams in infancy; grandparents Fred and Adel Williams, Wilbur and Ruth Bair; and his brother Thomas Williams.
There will be a private burials service. Celebration of Life on November 2, 2024, from 1-4pm at the Dorset Community Center. He will be laid to rest in Lenox Cemetery.
The family wishes to say "Thank You" to Hospice of the Western Reserve and Lake Erie Cremation.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
