Joanne Elizabeth (Bonner) Pettit "Nini", age 77, passed away surrounded by her family, on September 22, 2022. Joanne was born on October 14, 1944, in Clarion, Pennsylvania to the late Herman and Faye (Showers) Bonner. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1963 and decided later in life to go back to school to receive her nursing license in 1981. She was proud to be in the first graduating class of Knoedler School of Practical Nurse Education. She worked in healthcare her whole career and was an LPN for many, many years. Joanne was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making dresses, especially ones for her granddaughters. She loved sewing, crocheting, and quilting. The Great Lakes Medieval Faire gave her much joy throughout her years. She enjoyed her puzzles, ceramics, camping, and watching her great grandchildren in band and sports. Her favorite traveling memories were the few Alaskan cruises that she went on.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Cathy) Pettit and Ross (Lisa) Pettit; Grandchildren, Kyrie (Ryan), Jennifer (Chris), Trisha, Chuck, Cora, Kristen (Robert) and Arthur; Great Grandchildren, Kevin, Devin, Hunter, Angelina, Peanut, Gregory, Aaron, Wade, Jaxon, and Gage; Siblings, Jim (Fran) Bonner and Judy (Edward) Mock.
There will be private family service held with a burial taking place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva, Ohio.
