Obituary

Jodie Lea Noce (Grammy), 60, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away June 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Jodie was born October 2, 1960 the daughter of Delano and Donna (Davis) Prine (both deceased). She attended Harbor High School and later received her GED. She married Michael Noce, Sr. in 2000.

Jodie was Jr. Miss Pioneer Picnic. She also twirled baton with the group Top Cats, marching in many parades. She competed in many talent shows and sports. Jodie could "run like a deer."

Jodie was a frugal shopper, if there was a deal she would surely find it. She had a passion for baking and cooking which she passed on to her granddaughter, Halle. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, making sure "Santa" was good to "all" the kids. Playing Bingo, going to the casino, and the horse races were a few of her pastimes. Let's not forget – per her daughter, Shannon and granddaughter, Halle – Jodie was the "Laundry Queen." Jodie worked at Pizza Villa, a few different nursing homes, Zehrco Plastics, and then Avery-Dennison where she worked for 21 years before her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Noce, Sr.; children, daughter, Shannon (Duane) Chase of Geneva, step-daughters, Shea Noce, and Samantha Noce, and step-son, Michael Noce, Jr. all of Ashtabula; sisters, Gerriann (Rick) Russell, and Shelley (Rick) Cevera; brothers, Jeffrey Prine, and Kelly (Dawn) Prine; sister-in-law, Tina (Tracy) DeFoust; grandchildren, Halle and Owen Chase, Colyn Noce, Maddy Schor, Emma Noce, Brynn Vass, Destiny, Natayla, Javon, and Vincent Noce; Nieces and nephews Valerie DeJohn, who Jodie helped raise, Michael Loadman, Chad and Sarah Russell, Jeffrey Prine, Jr., Michael Henry, Anthony Young, Sean Prine, Jennifer (Josh) Glotzbecker, Jayden Russell, Cierra and Michael; Great-grandchild, Zylin; Great-nieces and nephews, Ryan Skaruppa, Brady and Aili Dana, Michael Loadman II, Anthony and Alexander Young, Stephn, Gianna, and Layla Young, Zander, Quintin and Torrick Glotzbecker.
