John J. Albek, 66, of Kingsville and formerly of Mentor, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 17, 1955 in Garfield Heights, Ohio, to the late John S. and Mary C. (Giacomazza) Albek.
John was a graduate of Cleveland State University and a longtime member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. On May 22, 1987, he married Mary Gayle Milam in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
He is survived by his former wife, Mary Gayle (Milam) Albek; daughters, Angelica Marie (Stephen) Lower and Alyssa Rose Albek; grandchildren, Giovanni Joseph and Aarmani Lee.
John has been reunited with his parents, John S. and Mary C. (Giacomazza) Albek and his late grandson, Amore Mario.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 1pm-3pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, Ohio. Proceeding the memorial service, family and friends are invited to celebrate his memory at Mario Fazio's Restaurant in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.
Donations made, in lieu of flowers, will be used to honor John's passions.
