John Finan (Tom), 73, of Akron, Ohio, left us suddenly on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Tom was born October 10, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John Gilbert Finan and Lois Marie (Gibbs) Finan.
After high school, Tom joined the U.S. Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he went on to get a degree in metrology and calibration. He took these skills and moved to Livermore, California, where he worked at the Livermore Lab. While in California, Tom was instrumental in starting a Bay Area Brown's Backers local chapter where he met wonderful friends.
When it was time for retirement, Tom came back home and lived in Tallmadge, Ohio, where he was able to be close with his sister Laura M (Finan) Lang and her children, Liana, T.J. and Wendy. Tom is also survived by his brother Bruce R. Finan.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
