John Gross, Jr., 56, of Willoughby, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from natural causes.
He was born March 26, 1969, in Somerville, Massachusetts to Ireen (McNeil) Horne and John Gross, Sr.
On October 15, 1991, John married Sally Sundman and together they shared 34 years of love and memories.
John worked for more than 30 years in construction and excavating. In his free time, he loved golfing with family and friends, traveling and enjoying concerts and bourbon tasting with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Sundman; children, Erica Gross and her husband Jamie McGuire, and Caitlin Gross and her boyfriend Dakota Gildea; parents, Ireen (McNeil) Horne and John Gross, Sr.; grandchildren, Caetlyn McGuire, Emma McGuire and Jasmine McGuire; sister, Chris Gross and her wife Kim Natale.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 17th, from 3-8pm at Willoughby General Event Center (above Fiona's Coffee Bar), 4148 Erie St., Willoughby, OH 44094. Please contact the family for additional information.
