John H. "Mac" McPherson, 55, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away at home with his family at his side on Thursday, January 15, 2025 after a battle with cancer.
He was born July 17, 1969 in Painesville, Ohio to Judy and Chandler McPherson. On July 20, 2022 he married Tami Randolph in Fairport Harbor.
Mac was a truck driver for 46 Logistics and loved his job and seeing the country. He was an avid fisherman, loved motorcycles, movies, music, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Tami McPherson of Ashtabula, OH; children, Makaila Shaffer, Osiris Elvis-McPherson; grandchildren, Rose, Colton, and Wyatt; mother, Judy McPherson; siblings, Scott (Paula) McPherson, Heather Tobias (Ray Messinger); nieces, Addie Mae Messinger, Jade Arkkelin, and Violet Messinger; nephews, Cash Messinger, and Zach Arkkelin.
Mac was preceded in death by his father, Chandler McPherson; grandma, Edna Lallathin; aunt, Dora Suomela.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4-6pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the staff at UH Seidman Cancer Center and SouthernCare Hospice, especially Nena.
