John Edward Owens, 63, of Madison, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Ashland, Ohio.
He was born August 1, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised by his mother, Ruth E. Moriarity and stepfather, Larry Augusta.
John loved nature, especially camping, campfires and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening, was a great cook on the grill and loved riding motorcycles in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona (Farone) Owens; children, Anthony Johnson, John Callender, Ashley and Rachel Jusko; grandsons, Ayden Johnson and Joe Callender; siblings, Robert, Nancie, Don, Lisa, Frank and Anna; sister and brother-in-law, Maria and John. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Ruth E. Moriarity and stepfather, Larry Augusta; grandmother, Ruth Moriarity; siblings, Ruthellen, Sharyn and Wayne.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00am at Painesville Baptist Church, 1307 Riverside Drive, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
