John M. Vidmar (Munster), 72, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away April 6, 2025, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was born June 11, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio to John A. and Anna J. Vidmar (nee Carroscia) and graduated from Euclid High School in 1970 and went on to attend Broadcasting School.
In 1980, he married Justine Vidmar (nee Eakin) who preceded him in death.
John started his music career by being a "Rowdy Roadie" at the Agora in Cleveland. He went on to work for many Cleveland area bands. He then started working for Midwest Sound Company, where he toured with Johnny Winters, Edgar Winters and Fog Hat managing the sound board and lighting. He also worked at Fryan, Home Centers, and Guitar Center. He eventually retired from his audio/video business called JV Tech. From these experiences he had many lifelong friends.
He is survived by his sister, Nadine Vidmar; nieces, Katie (Shaina) Zirkle, Nicole Clouser; great-nephew, Trey Ernst. John was also a brother in law, uncle, and great-uncle to the Eakin family.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Justine Vidmar (nee Eakin); parents, John A. Vidmar and Anna J. Vidmar (nee Carroscia); maternal grandparents, Michael and Mary Carroscia; paternal grandparents, Louis and Mary Vidmar (Dolnik).
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
