Jon Wayne Holloway, 77, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, September 26, 2022 at UH Geauga Medical Center.
He was born January 28, 1945 in Salem, Ohio, to the late Ewing Lee and Margaret (Meehan) Holloway. On May 23, 2009, Jon married Carol Ann Kuhar in Geneva, Ohio, and together they shared 13 years of love and memories.
Jon worked as a truck driver and retired from Teamsters Local 377 out of Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to joining the Teamsters, he worked with his father as a dairy farmer for many years. He lived life to the fullest, and in his spare time enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, downhill skiing, and getting together with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carol "Garbo" Holloway; children, Steve Holloway and Amy (Robert) Trummer; Jon gained 2 children by marriage, Julie (Aaron Gall) Sweeney and Sara Sweeney; grandchildren, Dalton, Colin, Lexi, Sierra, and Sedona; sisters, Janice Windsor and Lynne Holloway; 19 nieces and nephews; 41 great-nieces and nephews and 46 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Ewing Lee and Margaret (Meehan) Holloway; sisters, Joann Smith and Marjorie VanFossan.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rt 84 (across from Kiwanis Park Drive), Geneva, Ohio. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Geneva VFW Post 6846, 76 Depot Road, Geneva, Ohio.
