Jose Anthonio Fernandez Santos, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Painesville, Ohio.

He was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, on July 23, 1943, to his parents Julio Fernandez Sierra and Maria Santos Vega. Jose moved to the mainland United States when he was around 18 years old. While he worked many different jobs in life, being a car mechanic was what he was pretty good at. Jose was funny, loved to joke and tell stories, he was always on the go and stayed busy. He cared for his family deeply; he loved them very much. Jose had a love for animals and nature, and would help anyone he could, including animals. While he didn't attend church, he loved Jesus Christ, Jesus was his lord and savior.

Jose was preceded in death by his mother, Maria and father, Julio. He is survived by his children, Amanda, Joey (Heather), Lori (David), and David; his brothers, Hipolito and Luis; sisters, Tina and Emma; grandchildren, Xavier, Selena, Kylee, Emmlia, Ava, Cody, Cecily, Lorenzo, Gabrielle, Isabella, Miranda, Xander, Jared, and Katrina; and great-grandchildren, Kyree, Kameron, Alenna, and Xaiden.

His final resting place will be on his beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
