Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Joseph W. Buck (J.B.), 70 of Saybrook, Ohio. Joe passed on June 12, 2023 at home.

He was born January 16, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Madison Memorial High School in 1971. After graduation, he proudly served in the U.S Army from 1976 to 1980 Stationed at Fort Sill Lawton, OK and Nuremberg, Germany.

In 1990, he married Rebecca Layman in Newport News, VA and together they shared 33 years of love and memories.

Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was blessed with an abundance of friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughter, Mandy (Jeff) Collins; sons, Brigham, Emory (Tracy) and Bob (Angela); brothers, Glenn (Terri), Byron (Buddy )Alice, Bly (Mary), Tom Schafer, Dave Layman (Diana) and Lann Rabbitts; mother-in-law, Wilma Layman; 13 grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Betty; son Nick; brother, Scott; sister, Penny Schafer.

His presence brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will miss Joe more than words can say.

The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care provided by the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

All are welcome to a Graveside Service with Military Honors. It will take place at the Old Unionville Cemetery (Rt. 84 and County Line Rd, Harpersfield Twp.) on Friday June 16th at 1pm.

Lake Erie Funeral and Cremation Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
