Joseph Jerome Dawson Jr.

Joseph Jerome Dawson Jr., age 67, of Leroy, OH., passed away on July 11, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Joseph was born on August 10th, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA, to parents Patricia and Joseph Dawson Sr. Joseph graduated from Brookeside High School. A major accomplishment for him in his life was becoming and Eagle Scout, and he was also a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow. Joseph worked for Ford Motor Company, selling commercial trucks for over 27 years. In his free-time, Joseph loved to go fishing and camping, and also really enjoyed going to Blackberry Smoke concerts. He was proud of his Irish Heritage, but overall, was deeply proud of his children and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer (Joseph) Gilkes, Jeremy (Cindy) Buck, Brandon (Jessica) Dawson, and Kyle Dawson. Joseph is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Lucas, Josh, Emma, Jaden, Jaxon, and Jett.  He also leaves behind his siblings, Kevin Dawson and Daniel (Rebecca) Dawson. He is preceded in death by his parents, and by his brothers, David and Brian Dawson.
