Joyce Elaine Leffel

Joyce Elaine Leffel, age 39, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, October 19, 2026.

She was born on August 3, 1987, in Painesville, Ohio to Lisa A. Eddy and Robert C. Leffel and graduated in 2006 from Madison High School.

Joyce was a Christian and attended Lake Erie Church in Madison. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her 6 year-old son, James.

She is survived by her son, James Lee Leffel; mother and stepfather, Lisa A. Eddy and Thomas Wing; father and stepmother, Robert C. Leffel and Christine Tomka; sisters, Megan (Gary) Leider and Autumn Leffel; brother, Justin (Carly) Leffel; stepsisters, Britteny, Ashley, Tiffany, and Sarah; nieces and nephews, Kendrah Clark, Liam Leffel, and Amiah Leider; cousins, Michelle Snyder, Morgan Snyder, Paige Snyder, and Ashley and Wayne Meinke.

Joyce was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Ruth Elaine Leffel; aunt, Diane Meinke; uncle, Kevin Eddy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Chapel Hill Venue, 3381 Austinburg Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. She will be laid to rest in Monroe Township Cemetery.

In place of flowers, the family requests contributions be made for her son, James Lee Leffel. A donation box will be available at the venue, or they can be mailed to 3016 Spencer Circle West, Geneva, Ohio 44041.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
