Karen Kristine Jasko (Cookie), 72, of Concord Township, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023.
She was born June 29, 1951, to Walter Henery Ruuska and Solveig "Sally" Ruuska and then later on in life as she was spiritually born again when she repented of her sin, and placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord.
Karen graduated from Euclid High School and shortly after married Joseph Jasko on February 27, 1971. She worked at Breckenridge Village Nursing Home for 15 years taking care of those with Alzheimer's and while there had the joy of sharing Jesus with others. She also worked for 3 years at Visiting Angels taking care of people in their own homes. She was a member of Grace Church of Mentor and shared her faith with everyone she encountered in life.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Jasko; children, Jennifer Jasko and Samantha (Shawn) Norris; siblings, Walter "Skip" Ruuska, David Ruuska, Bob Ruuska, and Rick Ruuska.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter Henery Ruuska and Solveig "Sally" Ruuska and sister, Jane Katona.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am at Grace Church of Mentor, 6883 Reynolds Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060. A lunch for the family will immediately follow the service at the church.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
