Katherine A. (Morey) Coy, age 75, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at UH Conneaut Medical Center.
Katherine was born January 6, 1947 in Erie, PA to the late Alford M. and Katherine A. (Westphal) Morey, and step-mother, Eva Morey, who survives. She was a 1965 graduate of Conneaut High School and has been married to James Coy for the past 29 years.
She was a hardworking person and held several positions including CSP/Transplastics, Molded Fiber Glass, Turning Point, and Deli Mart in East Conneaut, which was her favorite. She really enjoyed talking with the customers. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, floral arrangements, crafting, going to the harbor watching and feeding the baby geese, and listening to Country Music and anything sung by Bob Seger.
Katherine is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, James Coy; step-mother, Eva Morey; children, Michele (David) McGriff, Michael (Karen) Johnston and Kathy (Todd) Williams; Grandchildren, Samantha Wolfe, Shannon Rihn, Robin Otis, Nikki Myers, Michael Johnston, Zach Myers, Kayla Johnston, Logan Johnston, Cheyenne Williams, Tyler Williams, Becky Thrasher, Kelly Kinnear, Amanda Kinnear-Payne, Hannah Maynard, Adam Kinnear; 19 great-grandchildren; Siblings, Tom (Caroline) Morey, Connie Morey Wilson, and Gordon (Minie) Morey. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the third floor UH Conneaut Nursing staff and Jodi, thank you for taking such great care of our Mother during her hospitalization.
