Katherine (Kathy) Fenlason, 64, of Ashtabula, Ohio (formerly of Madison), passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones at her home.

She was born May 13, 1957 to the late Robert and Betsy Miller. Kathy married James Fenlason, Jr. and together they shared 30 years of love and memories before his passing. For the last 6 years, she was engaged to Daniel Palmer of Ashtabula.

Kathy enjoyed gardening, crafting, and caring for her 3 rescue dogs Roxy, Jack, and Zeus and her cat Sausage. However, her greatest joy was being surrounded by loved ones for a great laugh or baking and making candy for them during the holidays.

She was a loving and caring mother to Jennifer (James) Steelman, Thomas (Barb) Deis, Jaclyn (her dog buddy), and James Deis; grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 3; sister to Maryann (Woody) Judd, and Linda (Kevin) Camerson.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Fenlason, Jr.; daughter, Thersa Deis at birth; parents Robert and Betsy Miller; brothers, Bill Miller and Raymond Miller; sister, Nancy Assad.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11-11:30am at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio followed by a Celebration of Life Service held at 4820 Hope Avenue in Ashtabula, Ohio from 12 Noon until 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.

The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to Hospice of the Western Reserve for all they have done to make Kathy's last few months comfortable.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
