Kathleen Sokolowski, aka Aunt Kathy, age 71, of Ashtabula, passed away January 10, 2022 at Hospice House in Cleveland from heart failure.
She was born on July 11, 1950 in Erie, PA to the late Joseph Anthony and Donalda (Crawford) Sokolowski. Because her father was in the Coast Guard, she was raised around lighthouses and loved everything about being near the water.
Kathy was a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor's degree. In her spare time, she enjoyed to crochet, spending time around Lake Erie feeding the Sea Gulls, and raising everyone's children.
She is survived by her sister, Donalda (Guadalupe) Rodriguez; brother, Wallace Sokolowski; brother-in-laws, Anastacio Velazquez, and Gary Jones. She is also survived by her 7 nieces and nephews that she considered to be her grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Anthony and Donalda (Crawford) Sokolowski; sister, Alicia Ann Jones; brother, William Joseph Loggins; grand-niece, Tara Velazquez.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
