Kathryn Mary Smith (Weiss), age 74, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Country Club Retirement Center. She was born October 3, 1947 in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth (Weber) Weiss. She grew up in Willowick, graduated from Eastlake North High School. In 1970, she married Frederick Klingman, Sr. and together they had two children. In 1993, she married Arnold Smith and together they have shared 29 years of love and memories. Kathryn was a member of the Lutheran faith and worked many years as a cosmetologist. Kathryn is survived by her loving Husband, Arnold Smith of Jefferson, Ohio; Children, Frederick Klingman Jr. (Kimberly Britton) of Roaming Shores, Kimberly Ann (Kevin) Hommes of Ashtabula; Grandchildren, Kaitlyne Klingman, Ty Klingman, Kelly Klingman, Taylor Klingman, Kyle Hommes and Lauren Britton; Nieces, Stacey (Mitch) Gelofsack, Shannon (Brandon) Piper; Nephew, Shane (Megan) Markel. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Stepfather, Hank Licht, and Sister, Karen Moss. A Celebration of life will take place on June 18th, 2022, from 12-2pm at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd., Geneva.
