Kennith (Ken) Riebe, age 49, of Mentor, OH., passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 8th, 2025, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. Ken was born on August 4th, 1976, in Euclid, OH., to his parents, Bob and Leslie (Hamrle) Riebe. He attended and graduated from Mentor High School and went on to further his education with Trade School. Ken married his love, Nicole (Wilson) Riebe on April 30th, 2008, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Ken was a project manager at S.M.E. (Soil Materials Engineers) for many years. In his free time, he loved watching the Browns games at the barn, bowling in a league, collecting bourbon, and he also loved to fish and hunt. Ken absolutely loved to hang out with his buddies and coworkers, drinking beer and smoking cigars after work in the garage were some of his best times. He learned to like the game of hockey through his son, and truly enjoyed watching him play and cheering him on. They spent a lot of time together traveling to the away tournaments and he enjoyed the trips. After nearly 18 years of marriage, though they could frustrate each other from time to time, Ken was always Nicole's rock. He knew when she needed a good laugh and he would do whatever she needed, just at his own pace. Ken is survived by his wife Nicole Riebe, by his son, Alex Riebe, and by his mom, Leslie Riebe. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill (Nancy) Riebe, Jen (Matt) Hummer, and Steven Riebe, and by his beloved nephews and great-nephew, Jacob, Kaden, Brody, Nate, and Conan. He also leaves behind his many best friends that meant so much to him. Ken is preceded in death by his father, Bob Riebe, and by his grandparents, Delores and Edward Hamrle, and Willard and Magdalene Riebe. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date. Memorial Donations in Ken's honor are appreciated and can be mailed in c/o Lake Erie Cremation, 1500 Harpersfield Rd., Geneva, OH, 44041. Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services (Wickliffe Home) assisted the family with arrangements. 440-361-2273.
