Kristine Ann (Keller) Hill, age 71, of Saybrook, Ohio, loving wife, mother and "granny" passed away unexpectedly August 11, 2024. She was born on June 18, 1953 to Robert and Virginia (Theiss) Keller in Conneaut, Ohio.
Kris graduated from Edgewood High School in 1971 and soon after pursued a career with Underwriters Adjusting Company in Geneva, Ohio. Her career also included working at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant and retiring from the Ashtabula County Medical Center in 2013. Through mutual friends she met the love of her life, Les Hill, which she married on April 16, 1977. Their very first date was at Thompson Drag Raceway in the summer of 1976. For their honeymoon, they started their 47 years of marriage at Disneyworld in Florida.
Together they raised two children, Scott (Tina) Hill of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Bethany (Matt) Zarlenga of Saybrook, Ohio. Kris was also blessed with three grandchildren, Conner, Preston and Emerson, which she absolutely adored. Her grandson's were her pride and joy and loved spending time with them. She attended every home soccer game that Conner and Preston played, and never missed a Wednesday playdate with Emerson. She was the oldest of two brother's, Robert and (Phyllis) Keller, and Ronald and (Tina) Keller. Kris was also lucky to have two sister-in-laws, Betsy Ritchie and Debbie Noland, which were truly like sisters.
In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Les to many places throughout the years . A few of their grand adventures took them to Arizona, camping along the way and most recently to Hawaii. Kris also enjoyed cruising in their 1950 Buick "Miss Daisy", baking, spending time with her grandsons, meeting with her fellow Red Hat ladies and volunteering at Kingsville Presbyterian Church. Kris was always willing to help anyone in need at a moment's notice. She will be remembered as one of the kindest souls one could ever meet and will be missed dearly by her loving family and dearest friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Keller and mother Virginia Keller.
Visiting hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva. Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 p.m with burial to follow at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
