Larry G. "Gene" Harris' Obituary
Larry Gene Harris, 75, of Painesville, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, from kidney failure.
He was born December 12, 1949, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Morehouse) Harris.
On June 27, 1969, he married Kathy Blubaugh and together they shared over 55 years of love and memories.
Gene worked as a Rover at Kenyon College for the past 22 years. In his free time, he was a proud Born Again Christian SSGCO, and enjoyed music, playing the guitar, banjo, organ and harmonica.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Harris; children, Angie (Eric) Staedt and Andy Harris; grandchildren, Mitchell Matthew Staedt and McKenna Staedt; sister, Carol Hart.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dorothy (Morehouse) Harris; brothers, Gary Harris and Robert (Sharon) Harris; and brother-in-law, Gordon Hart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Painesville Township Park, 1025 Hardy Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
