Lawrance J. "Larry" Young, 78, of Harpersfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022.
He was born December 6, 1943 in East Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lawrance O. and Louise Maethie (Stoneman) Young. Larry graduated from Euclid High School in 1962 and attended Kent State University. On September 28, 1968 he married Angela Voll in Euclid, Ohio and together they shared over 53 years of love and memories.
Larry began his career in sales with Alson's Jewelers and Snap Out Forms before launching his own successful business forms distributorship, West Park Supply, for more than 25 years. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and target archery with multiple placements in state archery target tournaments. He was also an active sportsman who ran, biked, swam, and continued to play volleyball until the end of his life! He attended Eagleville Bible Church in Rock Creek, Ohio and was a regular volunteer at The Vine Food Pantry.
He is survived by his wife, Angela (Voll) Young of Harpersfield, Ohio; children, Desa (Jon) Bernath of Columbia Station, Ohio, and Chris (Amanda) Young of Lakewood, Ohio; grandchildren, Jacob Bernath, Emma Bernath, Georgia Young, Joel Bernath, and Evelyn Bernath.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life service will be planned in September 2022 at Eagleville Bible Church.
Memorial contributions can be made in his name to The Vine Food Pantry, 1981 State Route 45, Rock Creek, Ohio 44084.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Harpersfield, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
