Lawrence "Larry" Giblock, 74, of Bratenahl, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, in his home surrounded by flowers and the ones he loved.
He was born March 15, 1950, in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Helen Giblock and was married to Laurel Giblock who preceded him in death.
Larry retired from the Cleveland Botanical Garden where his specialties were the Japanese Gardens and native plants. In his free time, he was a talented artist and passionate about gardening, reading and cooking.
He is survived by his son, John Edward "Jack" Giblock and his spouse, Jessica; siblings, Kenneth Giblock, Val Giblock, Melanie (Thomas) Metzner and Brian Giblock.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Laurel Giblock; parents, Edward and Helen Giblock; brother, Anthony Giblock.
A Celebration of Life gathering among the gardens created and tended by Larry will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 3-6pm at 12522 Lakeshore Blvd, Bratenahl, Ohio 44108.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to Crossroads Hospice Care of Cleveland for their passionate and exceptional care provided to Larry.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
