Leigh Sharon Avery, 68, of Wickliffe, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, Ohio.
She was born in Euclid, Ohio on March 27, 1957, to Jesse Avery (deceased) and Marlene (Morris) Avery. Although Leigh never married, she was the longtime partner and companion of Robert Hegedus who preceded her in death.
Leigh is survived by her daughters, Christine (Leandro) Chavez and Belinda Avery; mother, Marlene (Morris) Avery; sister-in-law, Kim (Lemponen) Avery.
She was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Robert Hededus; father, Jesse Avery; brother, Charles Avery; grandparents, Eileen (Newman) Morris and George Morris.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 29801 Lakeland Blvd, Wickliffe, Ohio on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6pm until the time of service at 7:30pm. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
The family wishes to extend of special "Thank You" to the staff at Lake West for doing all they could for Leigh.
