Lilyan (Dolista) Konrad, age 107, of Mayfield Heights, OH., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 6th, 2022, at her home at Gates Mills Club. Lilyan was born in Cleveland, OH. on May 14th, 1915, to parents Karel Dolista and Anastasia (Sveda) Dolista. Lilyan was an entertainer from her early 20's and into her 40's, dancing and singing. She had a love for the arts and performing and was so very talented, she even went on to get a column in the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) Newspaper in the 1950's-1965 where she would write about upcoming entertainment and artists in the area. Lilyan also was a proud Board of Elections volunteer in Lyndhurst, OH., for over 40 years and additionally, she worked in the gift shop one day a week as a volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital for many decades. Lilyan spent time as a Assistant Manager at the East Shore motel in Euclid, close to Euclid Beach for many years. As she grew into her 90's, she provided so much support to her friends and neighbors by shoveling their walkways in the Winter, cutting grass to help and just being there for people. Lilyan drove herself until she was 98 years old, cut her own grass, and even had a Bally's Health Center membership into her mid 90's where she would go often. Lilyan and her family were long-time members of Sacred Heart of Jesus (formerly known as, St. Gregory's) and enjoyed being part of the Catholic Parish. Lilyan had a passion for Astrology and spending time talking about Zodiac signs and what they meant with people she knew. Above all, Lilyan loved her family so much and her greatest pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lilyan is survived by her son, Dale Joseph Konrad and his wife Kathy, three loving grandchildren; Danielle (Charlie) Pitcock, Jaclyn (Jeff) Buehner, and Sean Konrad and her beloved great grandchildren; Kyla Greenway, Aidan Pitcock, Chance Konrad, Finn Pitcock, Ella Buehner, Jackson Buehner, Saylor Pitcock, Emilia Buehner, and Jenna Browning. Lilyan is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Joseph Konrad (1988), and by her siblings, Rose, Mary, Estelle, Charlie and Ladd. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor on Friday, November 11th, 2022, at 11am at Sacred Heart of Jesus, 1545 South Green Rd., South Euclid, OH. 44121, all are welcome to join. A private burial will follow in the future at Calvary Cemetery.
