Linda Marie Sternad, 67, passed away on December 25, 2024 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Linda was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 28, 1957. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 2019 after 24 years of employment.
Not one to conform, Linda was an independent, free spirit who always stayed true to herself and her beliefs. She spent her time gardening, making jewelry, doing crafts, and even dabbled in wine-making. She also enjoyed the outdoors - she loved hiking, and going to the lake for a picnic with her beloved dog, Hannah. She cherished her family and her children above all else.
Linda is survived by her two children, Tanya (Jared) Simon and Joshua Simon, and their father Jerald Simon; siblings (Irma) Sternad, Joseph Sternad, Sue Sternad, Lisa Petsche, Jeanne (Tom) Nipper, and Julie Gentilin; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Ann Sternad; brother Stephen Sternad, sister-in-law Debbie Sternad, and brother-in-law Jim Gentilin.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
