Llewellyn Kenui Paul Eugene Swift

Llewellyn Kenui Paul Eugene Swift, 86, of Concord Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 19, 2026.

Llewellyn was born on March 3, 1940, in Ulupalakua, Maui, Hawaii, to Rachel Swift. He graduated from Farrington High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, and carried with him throughout his life a deep connection to the islands where he was born and raised. On May 27, 1967, he married Barbara at St. Augustine’s Church in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Llewellyn dedicated more than four decades of his professional life to the Kahala Hotel and Resort in Hawaii, where he worked from 1967 until 2008. In 2004, he was honored as Bell and Valet Person of the Year at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawaii.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Llewellyn played high school baseball at Farrington. As he grew older, he became an avid golfer and enjoyed the time spent outdoors and pursuing the game he loved.

Llewellyn was a devoted Catholic and a beloved father, grandfather, and soon to be great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Malia E.K.M.S. Harwood (Christopher J. Harwood) and Maile A.N.P. Swift; grandson, Micah I.M.K. Swift; granddaughter in law, Ella Williams; and great-grandson, Noa Gray Swift to be born on February 11, 2027.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara C. Swift, who passed away on May 25, 2022, and by his mother, Rachel Swift.

Llewellyn's remains will be scattered in Honolulu and Maui, Hawaii, alongside the places and memories that were so meaningful to him and his beloved wife, Barbara.

A Celebration of Life is planned for May 2027 at St. Gabriel Church in Concord Township, Ohio. Details will be announced at a later date.
