Lois Zupon, age 82 of Geneva, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday,
November 2, 2022.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late
Lawrence E. and Sophie M. Rejc Zupon. Lois graduated from Cleveland Heights
High School and attended Miami University. She married her high school
sweetheart and they moved to Miami, FL. Lois worked in the banking industry
until she stayed home to help raise the family. Later in life, Lois came back to
Cleveland to help take care of her mother. It is here that she began working for
Progressive Insurance for 23 years.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence
E. Zupon, Jr. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Janean & Brad, Debbie and
Woody, Judy and David; grandchildren, Heather, Taylor (Britt), Thomas, Austin
(Annie), Jessica, Jacob and Nathan; one great grandchild Amelia Claire; and a
host of family and friends.
Following Lois's wishes, the family will welcome friends for a visitation on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 12 Noon until the time of service at 12:30pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Mausoleum in All Souls Catholic Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Road (US Rt. 6), Chardon, Ohio. Burial will immediately follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the House of Mews Rescue,
Cleveland, Ohio; Shepherd Center, Atlanta, GA in honor of Woodson Thomas
Harmon; or Susan B. Komen for the Cure.
The family also acknowledges Lois's close neighbors and long-time
friends, Janie and Dale Sunderlin, her Progressive family and appreciate their
care and companionship during her fight against cancer.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
