Lynn Richard Allen passed away peacefully May 15th, 2021, at his home in Geneva. Lynn was born in Bowling Green, OH, to Walter Lynn Allen and Milda Louise (Eucker) Allen on April 18, 1936. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1954 and University of Texas, Austin in 1958. After serving in the US Army, he returned to UT Austin to pursue his MFA in Art. Lynn was an Art Director for many years in California and Missouri, but his passion was fine art, winning awards for his paintings that captured the beauty of people and nature. Lynn was a lover of jazz, books, and knowledge of all kinds. He was also proud of his contributions to the community through letters to the editor, of which many were published.
He is survived by daughters, Kimberly Allen of Anchorage, AK, Leigh (Chris) Allen-Arredondo of Seattle, WA; grandsons Tazio and Sebio Arredondo of Seattle; brother Gary (Barb) Allen of Annandale, VA, and sister Peg (Dan) Maher of Champaign, IL; niece and nephew, Emily Allen Newman and Gregory Allen; and his longtime friend Mary Lou Craine of Geneva.
