William "Bill" Brewer, 75, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born on April 2, 1949, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, to parents Charles and Virginia Brewer. Bill married Joan Lapp on October 12, 1968, in Niagara Falls, New York. He graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1969 and went on to attend The Salvation Army School for Officers Training from 1970-1972. Bill was a Salvation Army Ordained Minister and retired in 2014 with the rank of Major. He loved basketball, baseball, hockey, the Cleveland Guardians and the Buffalo Bills. Go Bills!! Bill is survived by his wife, Joan Brewer; children, Traci (John) Hennessey, Thomas (Maria) Brewer, and William (Angie) Brewer; grandchildren, Carl, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Sophia, and Lillian; brother, Charles Verhille. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virigina Brewer. A private family service will be held. Memorial donations can be made in his name to The Salvation Army.
