Marc Daniel Fink, age 41, of Dorset, OH, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2024. He was a kind, loving, and gentle soul who touched the lives of all who knew him. Marc's innate warmth and generosity of spirit made him a friend to everyone he met. He had a deep love for the simple joys of life, from campfires and waterfalls to the companionship of his beloved family dog, Holly, and Kitty, whom he adored taking for walks and golf cart rides in the woods.
Marc was born on September 28, 1983, in Jefferson, OH, where he spent most of his early years, before moving to Dorset in 1997 into a home he helped his father build. Marc's love for nature, animals, and the outdoors was a defining part of who he was.
Marc's love for sports began at a young age, playing Little League baseball for several years, often under the coaching of his father. He graduated from Jefferson Area High School in 2002 and later moved to Columbus, where he lived for several years before returning to Dorset in 2022. Marc worked for FedEx for many years before rejoining his family to work alongside his father and older brother in the family business.
Marc often spoke fondly of his family, describing them as his greatest source of strength and support. He saw his father as his best friend, his mother as his rock, his sister as his sounding board, his older brother as his debate partner, and his younger brother—whom he shared a special bond with – as the most patient person he knew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Gladys Fink, Joyce Dunford and Gene Kirby, and his cousin, Joy Dunford Miller.
Marc is survived by his parents, Dan and Wendy Fink; his sister, Veronica (Joe) Zinchini; his brothers, Joshua Fink and Kevin (Lana Valdez) Fink; his nieces, Danielle Fink and Isabella Zinchini; his nephews, Joshua Fink, Trevor Zinchini, and Justin Zinchini; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will have a private viewing, and Marc will be cremated in accordance with his wishes. There will be no public service. A private family service for Marc's interment will be held at a later date.
Marc's gentle spirit, his love for nature, and his deep devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
