Marcella B. Burns

Marcella B. “Marci” Burns, 90, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Born on February 24, 1936, in Redstone Township, Pennsylvania, Marci was the daughter of Rose Schoch Flowers and Albert Bianchi. She married the love of her life, Regis Daniel Burns, on July 11, 1953, at St. Mary’s in Cardale, Pennsylvania. Together they built a loving family and shared many happy years until his passing.

Marci worked throughout her life in several positions, including at a sweater factory, in office work at Allis-Chalmers, and as a waitress, a job she especially loved because of the people she met and served.

She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Church in Jefferson, OH. Marci enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing cards, and shopping. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her warm heart, strong spirit, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

She is survived by her loving children, Sonya Burns Focht (John) and Shawnassee Burns (Laurie); her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy (Anna), Regis (Tracy), Cole (Destiny), Beth (Teddy), Stephanie (Jason), Ashley (Earl), Sarah (Mike), Hailey (Joe), Rodney (Sam), and Jerrod (Audra); as well as 20 adored great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Marci was preceded in death by her children Patrick Burns, Regis Burns, Darryl Burns, and infant son Baby Boy Burns; her parents, Rose Flowers and Albert Bianchi; her grandparents, Leopold Schoch and Rose Planeta; and her siblings Mildred, Violet, Alberta, Warner, Beatrice, and Rosaline.
