Margaret Isabelle Schutt

Margaret Isabelle "Peggy" Schutt, 96, of Russell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026.

Born on May 22, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose faith, talents, and generosity touched many lives.

Peggy was the beloved mother of Douglas (Dee) Schutt, Russell (Cheryl) Schutt, and Krislyn (William) Tidwell. She was a proud grandmother to Shelby (Robert) Kovacich, Charles (Rebecca) Schutt, Meghan Schutt, Matthew Schutt, Adam Schutt, Emily (James) Napoli, and Rachael Tidwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Adeline Clifford; her sister Patricia Clifford her brother; Milton Clifford Jr.; and her beloved husband, Donald Schutt.

Peggy dedicated her professional life to education as a teacher and was well known for sharing her beautiful voice through Sweet Adelines International. She also devoted countless hours to volunteering with the local historical society and was always eager to serve her community.

In her free time, Peggy enjoyed roller skating, knitting, crafting, gardening, and participating in Curves fitness programs. She will be remembered for her devotion to God, her loving heart, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering commitment to family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ledgewood Christian Church P.O. Box 350 Novelty, OH 44072 in Peggy's memory.

Peggy's legacy of faith, kindness, music, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
