On the morning of 7 December, 2020, the amazing Marjorie Taft-Stewart transitioned and is now riding her classic BMW motorcycle on the golden streets of heaven. She was a remarkable, trailblazing woman of God who left a legacy of greatness to her son Jeffrey Stewart (Crystal) and daughter Colleen Stewart Francis (Mark). Her seven grandchildren carry on her love of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, photography, fishing, motorcycling, traveling the world, and animals. A lifelong servant of her community, Marge worked as a social worker with several area organizations, and a school counselor and teacher for many school districts throughout North East Ohio. She was also a very active member for many years at East Side Presbyterian Church in Ashtabula and most recently at Eagleville Bible Church in Rock Creek. Marge was very instrumental in the promotion of motorcycle riding by women, and she was a lifelong member of Women on Wheels and the Motor Maids, both national organizations. She was preceded in death by her father Arby Taft, mother Diantha Bates Taft, step-mother Alberta Taft, and sister, Patricia Taft Wright. She is survived by sisters Susan Taft and Kathleen Blair (Bruce), several nephews and a great nephew and niece. A gathering to honor her legacy and life will be held during the summer of 2021. Information about this event will be shared via social media at a later date. Marge became very passionate and supportive of our veterans.
